A test is only as good as its marking. Two markers given the same paper and no clear scheme will disagree far more often than anyone expects, and the candidate carries the cost of that disagreement.
Test Markers is being built around the marking end of assessment: how a scheme is written so that it can be applied consistently by different people, how markers are trained and checked against each other, what to do about the borderline paper, and how to keep a standard steady across a large batch when concentration fades.
It applies wherever real judgement is required and a machine cannot do the work: written answers, translation, editing, professional trials, practical assessments of every kind.
The site will cover the practical construction of marking schemes, the common ways they fail, and the checks that catch drift before it reaches a result that has to be defended.
